Uniqueness of Samurai Paint
DIFFERENT VALVE TYPES
Samurai® Valve
- Inner nozzle is divided to allow paint twisted inside before it’s sprayed.
- Only require rough big hand swing to achieve complete and even colour.
- Each spray gives a big round spot to allow Easy creation of tone colour.
- Chances if ‘tearing’ is very low.
Other Brand Valve
- Still commonly used in certain brands nowadays.
- Its nozzle is narrow adn diptube is straight.
- Require rapid hand swing because every spray is fast and straight.
- Hard to achieve tone colour.
- High chance of ‘tearing’
DIFFERENT NOZZLE TYPES
Samurai Nozzle
- Unique Samurai nozzle with air gun like properties.
- Can be turned horizontally or vertically.
- Provide uniform and balanced spray pattern.
- Fine spray pattern and cover all surfaces widely.
- Spray like a professional sprayer.
Traditional Nozzle
- Unable to turn horizontally or vertically.
- Limitation in spray coverage.
- Need to be skillful to obtain s good spray pattern.
Why Can Samurai® Save More Paint Compared to Other Brand
Strength Of Samurai®
- Save paint and not wasted - slow hand motion just like using ‘spray gun’.
- Maximum coverage - spray distance must be as near as 5-6” from the surface.
- Easy to achieve tone colour effects.
Weakness of Other Brand
- Must spray from a distance (12”) then can get the mist effect. Swinging of hand must be fast.
- Hard to achieve tone colour effects.
- ‘Tearing’ can happen when hand swing becomes slow.

Spray Paint Preparation
Proper surface preparation is the key to a smooth, professional-looking finish. Whether your samurai 2k spray paint project involves a wood, metal, plastic, wicker, glass and ceramic surface, make sure to complete these three essential steps:
- Clean the surface using ordinary household detergent or mineral spirits.
- Remove loose paint or rust with a wire brush, sandpaper or steel wool.
- Sand glossy surfaces with fine grain sandpaper and wipe with a tack cloth.
After the surface is properly prepared, it should appear dull or matte.
Staining Wood
- Light sand bare wood smooth with medium to fine grain sandpaper. If previously paint, remove the paint.
- Wipe bare wood clean with a damp rage to remove dust.
- Splash a couple drops of water in the surface. If water penetrated, so will the stain. If water does nor penetrate, lightly sand the surface again.
- Make sure wood is clean, dull and dry before staining.
Spray Painting Wood
- Sand bare wood smooth with medium to fine grain sandpaper. lightly sand if previously painted.
- Wipe clean with a tack cloth to remove dust.
- Spray with primer to seal the surface if desired. Exterior wood should always be primed for greatest durability.
Spray Painting Metal
- Remove loose rust with a wire brush, sandpaper or chemical rust remover. Lightly sand if previously painted.
- Id applicable, sand areas where paint is chipping until surface is smooth.
- Remove dust or oil with a degreaser or denatured alcohol.
- Prime surface to protect against rust and corrosion with Samurai 2K Epoxy Surfacer Primer
- Exterior metal should always be primed for greatest durability.
Spray Painting Plastic
- For old plastic, use and ammonia-based cleaner on surface.
- For new plastic, use paint thinner to clean surface.
- Lightly sand surface if previously painted.
- Remove dust with a tack cloth.
- Let plastic surface dry.
- Apply Samurai 2K Epoxy Surfacer Primer spray paint according to the directions on the can.
- Apply Samurai 2K Polyurethane or Samurai 2K Non-Isocyanate (NISO) base coat.
- Apply Samurai 2K Polyurethane Clear Coat for additional gross or flat protection coating.
Spray Painting Wicker
- Lightly sand glossy surface is previously painted.
- Remove dust or prime with Samurai 2K Epoxy Surfacer Primer. Exterior wicker should always be primed for greatest durability.
Spray Painting Glass or Ceramic
- Lightly sand with fine grain sandpaper. Less slick surfaces allow for better adhesion.
- Wipe clean with a tack cloth.
- Apply Samurai 2K Epoxy Surfaces Primer to further improve adhesion. (glass will no longer be transparent if a primer is used)
Applications
Two-Component Paints
Two-Component Paints also referred to as 2K paints or 2-Part paint in which a chemical reaction result in paint hardening. Two-component paints are consist of a base paint and hardener. These two components must be mixed vigorously in the correct ratio and then applied quickly. Once it hardens, it provides a much stronger substrate less susceptible to damage from chemicals, weather, abrasion or UV rays.
Polyurethane (PU)
Polyurethane layer applied to the surface of a substrate for the purpose of protecting it. Another characteristic of polyurethane coatings is its customizability. These coatings can be formulated to be glossy, muted, opaque or transparent. Benefit is longer durability, good chemical and weathering resistance.
Epoxy
Epoxy paint is part coatings that was developed to provide solution on metal substrates due to its high adhesion on various substrates. The system generally dry overnight providing a tough, protective coating with extremely excellent hardness. Epoxy coating is not only durable, but also resistant to many corrosive substances. Epoxy is a top choice for many household and industrial coating applications, including steel, metal. concrete, and more.
Non Isocyanate (NISO)
Non-Isocyanate coatings introduces for customer who require the high durability and color matching of conventional 2K material without health concern associated to Isocyanate hardener. Isocyanate free hardener converts a two pack activated paint into and air dry paint. The drying and cure times can take much longer depending on weather condition.
